Jean Bourdy Côtes Du Jura 2009

Blog

A blend of Pinot Noir, Trousseau and Poulsard, all grown in a high-elevation alpine vineyard. Stylistically, the Jean Bourdy Côtes Du Jura Rouge 2009 is a nod to Burgundy, yet it also is a unique expression of terroir. Translucent cranberry in the glass, with delicate, ethereal aromas of clean, mountain air, underbrush, dried leaves and rose petals, and a piquant touch of gamey funk. One the palate, firm, ultra-fine tannins are bolstered by bright acidity, high toned red berries and a spicy floral note combined with savoury herbs on the finish. For Burgundy lovers, Jean Bourdy is a fabulous value at $26.00 per bottle.
