Intellectual, funky, and a tad unruly. The fruit for this insouciant Willamette Valley Pinot was sourced from the highly-praised Momtazi and Sojourner vineyards, and was subsequently fermented 80% whole cluster, and aged in neutral oak. Vegetable Lamb is earthy, really earthy with a suggestion of barnyard. Under that lies bramble fruit, stemmy forest berries, toss in a handful of decaying leaves. There is bright acidity here too, 2011 was a cooler vintage, the finish has a touch of green on it as well. Sample
