Mont Gravet Pays d'Oc Rosé 2016

Mont Gravet Pays d’Oc Rosé 2016

Limpid salmon in the glass, 100% Pays d'Oc Counoise offers fresh, lilting aromas of crushed raspberry, white peach, and line-dried linen. In the mouth, limestone minerality shines through, lending texture and continuity, a single suspended note that starts and ends softly, unobtrusively. Mont Gravet has elements in it that are suggestive of a more expensive, complex Provençal rosé, certainly it can be enjoyed for what it is, at the humble price of $9 USD. 11.5% ABV | Sample Mont Gavet 87 Points...

Josep Masachs Cava Mas Fi Brut Rosé NV

Josep Masachs Mas Fi Cava Brut Rosé NV

From the Josep Masachs family, the Mas Fi Brut Rosé is a celebratory shade of salmon. Crafted with 100% estate-grown Trepat, delicate aromas of pie cherry, strawberry, apple blossom, and graham cracker are held aloft on a nose tickling net of fine buttles. It's fresh on the palate, with just a hint of autolysis—no doubt from eleven months en tirage—that comes through as wet dough, a flavor that quickly fades to a lively finish pink grapefruit pith. Another excellent value from Mas Fi. 11.5% ABV | Sample Cava Mas Fi 89 Points ...

Weingut Schäfer-Fröhlich Dry Rosé 2016

Weingut Schäfer-Fröhlich Dry Rosé 2016

Spring is on the way. Heirloom rose petal pink, Weingut Schäfer-Fröhlich's 2016 Dry Rosé opens with vivid aromas of delicately spiced pie cherries, strawberries and apple blossom. Medium-bodied, this fresh organic rosé of Pinot Noir features a lean, tensile acid spine that crescendos with a burst of delicious pit fruit bitterness and oyster shell. 11.6% ABV | Sample Weingut Schäfer-Fröhlich 88 Points  ...

Blason-Louis Bandol Rosé 2015 (Flacon)

Blason-Louis Bandol Rosé 2015 (Flacon)

Blason Louis offers these novel glass flacons for by-the-glass tasting as part of their wine club, though really, polishing off a bottle of rosé has never been a problem in this household. Their 2015 Bandol Rosé is salmon-hued with aromas of iced coffee, fleshy melon, mandarin orange, and pie cherry. It's surprisingly full-bodied with lots of roundness at the center, leaving the impression that the acidity has to work to hold up the weight of this wine. A pleasant streak of minerality at the close. Sample Blason-Louis 8.8 Points...

Domaine Saint Aix Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence Rosé 2015

Domaine Saint AIX Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence Rosé 2015

Consistently good, the Saint Aix AIX Rosé 2015 is pale peach in the glass. Aromatically expressive, it's a kaleidoscope of white peach, melon, golden raspberries and line dried linen. In the mouth, it's refreshing. It's light, but layered too—here, minerality emerges and signs against a backdrop of ever-changing fruit. A great entertaining wine. 13.0% ABV | Sample Domaine Saint Aix 8.9 Points...

Jean-Luc Colombo Les Pins Couchés Rosé 2016

Jean-Luc Colombo Les Pins Couchés Rosé 2016

Conch shell pink, Jean-Luc Colombo’s Les Pins Couchés Rosé is a pretty blend of 67% Syrah and 33% Mourvedre sourced from Cape Bleue, a maritime-influenced site just outside Marseille. The 2016 delivers white peaches, raspberries, cherries, and line-dried linen, but what I’m most excited about what this wine does on the palate. The influence of calcarious soils dominates this blend—texturally, it’s almost slippery in the mouth, reminiscent of slip casting with fine porcelain clay. Bright and buoyant, a perfect wine for summer. 13.0% ABV | Sample Vins Columbo 9.1 Points...

Emiliana Natura Rosé 2016

Emiliana Natura Rosé 2016

Heavily laden in musk melon, Queen Anne's cherries and white peach, the most alluring thing about the Emiliana Natura Rosé 2016—there is a perception of sweetness on entry but that sensation quickly fades to peach pit and pink grapefruit skin that hits the sides of the tongue, leaving a pleasant bitterness that just goes on and on. 12.1% ABV | Sample Banfi Wines 8.8 Points...

Ferraton Pere & Fils Côtes du Rhône Samorëns Rosè 2016

Ferraton Pere & Fils Côtes du Rhône Samorëns Rosè 2016

Like the perfect accessory, Ferraton Pere & Fils' 2016 Samorëns Rosé matches my reading glasses. I sit here in my studio, pondering this Provencal pink, I am reminded of how much I love these wines despite a long, chilly spring in the Willamette Valley. It's a wine that manages to be energetic and delicate all at the same time. A pleasant tumble of white peach, cherry blossom, sea foam and pomace. Minerality dominates the textual landscape of the palate along with a pleasant streak of crushed green herbs. 13.5% ABV | Sample Ferraton Pere & Fils 8.8 Points...

Bertani Bertarose Chiaretto Venezie IGT 2016

Bertani Bertarose Chiaretto Venezie IGT 2016

A beguiling blend of 75% Molinara and 25% Merlot grown in grown calcareous-clay soils in steep hillside vineyards overlooking Lake Garda, Bertani Bertarose Chiaretto 2016 is endowed with aromas of pie cherries and tart red currants swirl within a fine mineral net. On the palate, it's as lean and crisp as any Provence rosé, with an acid spine that crescendos at the sides of the tongue—a lovely mouthwatering burst that ebbs to pleasant bitterness. Pink grapefruit and pomace stone. 12.0% ABV | Sample Bertani Domains S.r.l. 8.8 Points...

Fleur de Mer Côtes de Provence Rosé 2016

Fleur de Mer Côtes de Provence Rosé 2016

The Fleur de Mer Côtes de Provence Rosé 2016 is fresh and genial, expressing a lovely melange of chilled melon, raspberry sorbet, turbinado sugar, and line dried linen. Lean on fruit, but generously framed in minerality, this pretty Provençal pink has an underlying structure of wet chalk and limestone that seemingly closes in on and eventually eclipses delicate fruit notes on the palate, leaving a comet's tail of seafoam and wet shell c. 13.0% ABV | Sample Fleur de Mer 8.9 Points...
