A rare treat tasted with Gramercy Cellars co-winemaker Brandon Moss—this was, we were told, the last remaining bottle of this limited club release—it’s a testament to the longevity of Walla Walla Valley fruit when vinified correctly, one feels that this bottle has another decade left in it. Brimming with aromas of mulberries, plums, crushed violets, graphite, and earth. Medium-bodied on entry, an understory of fine tannins contributes to this wine’s precise balance, it closes with an illuvium of sweet tobacco and tilth. It’s worth noting that 60% of the franc sourced for this wine came from Old Stones Vineyard, the other 40% Gramercy’s Estate. 13.7% ABV | Sample
