Sparkling Cuvée NV
Straw-hued and gently sparkling, Bollicini’s Sparkling Cuvée is the latest in a trio of canned wines I’ve received to evaluate. And while not complex, this undisclosed blend of “Italian white varietals” has plenty of charm—orchard fruit, apples, white peaches, and pears and acacia honey are in abundance with a touch of lemon pith at the tail end. It’s light and easy on the palate, and as the packaging suggests, a welcome guest to a picnic or a summer boating expedition. 187 ml can 11.0% ABV | Sample

Lambrusco NV
Opaque mulberry in the glass, this non-vintage offering shows Labrusca styling—both slightly effervescent and slightly sweet. It smells of densely packed black cherries, plums, decaying rose petal, and a touch of earth. The bubbles add lift to wet mid-palate tannins and a texture that feels like cherry skins and pits. Quite delicious for a relatively inexpensive canned wine. 11.0% ABV
